On a late September evening, Destination Triumph Dorset saw over 150 bikes roll up for the exciting launch of Project Pit Stop, a new men’s health initiative supported by The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride (DGR) and Movember UK.

Project Pit Stop is a Moto Social that brings bikers together to socialise, and maybe also talk about the ‘bigger’ stuff in their lives, in a relaxed and friendly environment. To ensure both man and machine are looked after, and have the support they need, the event was also joined by a free resident mechanic and professional GP Doctor. The projects’ aim is to highlight awareness and support research of prostate and testicular cancer, as well as men’s mental health and suicide prevention. As Triumph are a global sponsor of DGR, Destination Triumph was the perfect venue for the Project Pit Stop launch.

Coffee, chats, classic bikes & haircuts!

The event had talks from DGR and Sammy Miller MBE, who showcased a 1956 Triumph prototype from his museum. The large crowd enjoyed wood-oven pizzas named after Triumph models, such as the BBQ Bonneville, and locally roasted coffee served from a converted vintage Land Rover. With the help of True Gents barbers, the attendees also received fresh haircuts!
